Rainer T. Jobs aka ToolTech was born on July 19th 1980 in a small german town near the french border called Zweibrücken. His first contact with electronic related music came from the vinyl and CD collection of his parents which holds Kraftwerk, Alan Parsons Project, Pink Floyd and similar groups. In the early 90s he was listening to the radio-RPR show "Maximal" (moved later to Sunshine-live) where the moderator Tillmann Uhrmacher presented the newest clubmusic. Since then ToolTech was hooked on the progressive electronic sounds and this has changed since. After buying lots of media in the following years "just listening" wasn’t enough anymore. He started to visit musician boards to communicate with people that share the same interests. This way he found out about the possibilities and wanted to be active himself. It didn’t take long for him to make the first steps in producing own tracks and mixing. The style of ToolTech is between minimal and progressive techno and some of his productions were released on netlabels like op3n, pulsar-records, dungeon-killer, rumpfunk-records or FOEM album releases. Nowadays he runs several radio shows and also he is responsible for productions at several boards. In 2007 ToolTech has received his first bookings, more will follow. |
